End of confusion. Prague airport offers more comfortable way, how to buy tickets for public transportation. There are 13 brand new vending machines, where you can pay by using a payment card, they are able to find your connection or offer you the best ticket.

Older machines accepted only coins, those new ones accept even payment cards. They even give advices. For people, who don’t know public transportation in Prague very well, it can be very useful. They will spare time and they choose the right ticket.

„Old vending machines, that accepted only coins were exchanged for the new ones in every airport terminal. Some of the new vending machines are placed in the closed area of the arrival hall. That means, that passengers can buy the tickets not only at the bus stops or arrival halls, but also while waiting for the luggage,” said the CEO of Ropid Petr Tomčík.

All 13 new machines can search connections and recommend the corresponding ticket to the searched destination. They also share all necessary information about tariffs and views traffic schemes. Everything in Czech, English, German and Russian..

The vending machines, that accept payment cards, were newly installed in four other important traffic places in Central Bohemian Region, namely in Čelakovice, Milovice, Řevnice and Říčany. “People tend to buy more expensive tickets for more zones, especially here in the region, therefore the vending machines, that accept card payments, are very helpful here,” told us the speaksmen of Ropid, Filip Drápal.
