The new regular service will connect Brno-Tuřany and Berlin-Schönefeld airports from April 1st 2019. It will be the fourth regular airline operating between the Moravian metropolis and foreign destinations. This was announced by Milan Kratina, Chairman of the Board of Brno Airport.

Tickets are already available in online sales at discounted prices, specifically with a 500 CZK discount. A one-way ticket now costs 350 crowns. The management of Brno airport assumes that the new route will be used not only by tourists but also by representatives of various companies and scientific and research centers from Brno and its surroundings for their meetings in Berlin. Thanks to a new regular line, German tourists will be closer to Moravia.

From Brno, it has been flying on a regular route to Munich, Germany, for 3.5 years. There is also a line from Tuřany to London-Stansted and from last October to Milan, Italy.

It can be assumed that a regular route to Berlin will be added this year. In the past, there has been talking of a new route between Brno and Barcelona, Spain or Lviv, Ukraine. However, plans to set up new routes have not yet been revealed by the leadership of the Brno airport.

Brno-Tuřany airport experienced a record year last year, after six years, surpassing half a million checked-in passengers. Most were flying for the summer holidays, with over 225,000 people passing through Brno airport in two months.
