Prague Airport has revealed the top-performing airlines of 2025 across five distinct categories. These results emphasize the airport’s ongoing commitment to improving service quality and building strong partnerships with airlines. Representatives from the winning airlines received their awards during a celebratory evening that was part of the airport’s annual partner event.
The title for the fastest-growing airline at Václav Havel Airport Prague in 2025 was awarded to easyJet, marking a significant achievement as it surpassed Ryanair, which had led this category for the past two years.
Additionally, easyJet claimed the top spot in the sustainability category. This evaluation looked at various factors, including noise levels from aircraft, emissions, and the airlines’ efforts in decarbonization and other sustainable practices.
For the third consecutive year, Finnair maintained its position as the most operationally reliable airline. This recognition is awarded by Prague Airport for achieving outstanding results in specific operational metrics, such as timeliness, compliance with procedures, and baggage handling times. The airport highly appreciates the collaboration with all airlines and uses this award to recognize their vital role in enhancing the quality of services provided to passengers.
Airlines’ marketing campaigns, which were created in collaboration with Prague Airport, were also assessed. In this category, Etihad Airways was recognized for its successful campaign promoting the new direct route to Abu Dhabi. The judging panel included marketing experts from partner tourism organizations, such as CzechTourism and Prague City Tourism. Key criteria for evaluation included the visibility of the Prague Airport brand, the appeal of the visual elements, and the clarity of the messaging.
Central Airlines was recognized as the top cargo carrier for having the highest yearly increase in freight and mail transported in 2025, largely due to the launch of a new cargo route connecting Chengdu, China, to Prague.
