Prague Airport has started using a new tool designed to enhance communication with travelers. This tool, called Aviation Assistant (AVA), is a digital assistant that helps passengers navigate the airport more easily. Currently, AVA is linked to the WhatsApp chat application, and it will also connect to Facebook Messenger on February 2.
AVA offers up-to-date and reliable flight information, provides travel support, and speeds up ongoing communication. It is accessible 24/7. Among its key features are “Track Flight,” “Questions and FAQs,” and helpful recommendations for a smooth experience at the airport.
“In February, we will enhance AVA’s capabilities by enabling communication via Facebook Messenger, thus integrating it with another popular chat platform. Then, in March, we will introduce a feature that allows passengers to switch the conversation to a live information service operator, who will answer questions that AVA may not have been able to resolve based on the chat’s context and history,” explained Eva Krejčí, the Director of Communications and Marketing at Prague Airport.
With the “Track Flight” feature, AVA allows passengers to monitor specific flights and receive real-time updates through automatic notifications. These updates include important details such as gate openings, check-in counters, the beginning of boarding, and the arrival or departure of the aircraft. AVA replaces the old SMS notifications, bringing in a new and innovative solution at Václav Havel Airport Prague that empowers passengers to actively seek information about their flights.
The “Questions and FAQs” service is another vital feature, enabling AVA to address the most common inquiries that travelers have about the airport and their journeys. The digital assistant can assist with finding directions within the terminals, provide details about parking options, explain baggage check-in rules, and clarify regulations on transporting liquids. Additionally, it can recommend services, shops, and restaurants at the airport tailored to each traveler’s individual preferences.
