Road undergoing reconstruction by Terminal 1. What traffic restrictions shall be expected?"Terminal 1 Road Renovations: What You Need to Know About Upcoming Traffic Restrictions!"

Prague Airport has completed a bidding process in accordance with the Public Procurement Act to choose a construction manager for a major infrastructure project. This initiative will greatly enhance the airport’s capacity during busy times and significantly improve passenger comfort at the largest airport in the Czech Republic over the next few years. The selected winner is a joint venture involving Hill International, INVIN, and Contract Management firms. Expanding Terminal 2 is essential, as the airport is currently nearing its maximum capacity during peak operational hours.

The appointed external construction manager will have key responsibilities, including overseeing technical aspects for the investor, ensuring the quality of project documents, managing risks, controlling costs and schedules, and making sure everything complies with legal requirements and international certification standards (like LEED). They will also assist in planning the Operational Readiness Activation and Transition (ORAT).

The modernization of Terminal 2 involves expanding the handling building, creating a new pier D, and renovating pier C along with other nearby areas. Additionally, this project will introduce advanced systems and technologies to boost operational efficiency and enhance the travel experience. It is also connected to other future construction initiatives within the airport, such as a new railway station.
