Prague Airport is featuring a brand-new art exhibition. It showcases a series of paintings by the famous Czech artist Pasta Oner, titled “Usual Suspect.” This exhibition is accessible to everyone and will be running at Prague Airport until the end of April.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with Pasta Oner and to showcase his art in our gallery space. Today, airports are no longer just transit points; they are places where people spend time, wait for family or friends, and prepare for their journeys. We want to ensure this waiting time is enjoyable and uplifting, allowing travelers to savor beautiful moments before they depart or after they arrive,” said Eva Krejčí, the Director of Communications and Marketing at Prague Airport. She also mentioned, “Art possesses a special power to make us pause, bring joy, and create smiles. We believe that unique and visually striking pieces can offer travelers and visitors a little escape from the busyness of traveling, enriching their overall airport experience. Our aim is to make the airport a welcoming place—one that feels good not just in its operations, but also in an emotional and aesthetic sense.”

Pasta Oner has a special connection to Prague Airport. “I consider myself one of the many ‘children’ of this airport. My mother was a flight attendant, and my father worked as a baggage handler. In fact, my parents met on a plane! We used to live near the old airport, in the area where Czechoslovak Airlines were based, and as a child, I would often wait at the airport terminal for one of my parents. I cherish those memories. Anyone who has spent time working at the airport or frequently visiting it knows how its atmosphere can leave a lasting impression. That’s why I am delighted to bring my work back to the airport after all these years,” said Pasta Oner.

The main focus of Pasta Oner’s artwork is acrylic painting and creating hanging artworks. The new exhibition at Václav Havel Airport Prague includes these very artworks. A total of 22 of his iconic paintings are on display in the Art Zone gallery on the ground floor of Terminal 2, offering a glimpse into the work of this well-known pop art artist. Additionally, visitors can view videos of Pasta Oner’s past exhibitions on four television screens, which provide behind-the-scenes content—from installations to opening events.

The “Usual Suspect” exhibition will be available at Václav Havel Airport Prague until the end of April this year. It is located in the public area of the airport, and entry is free for all.
