Because Prague Airport is currently reconstructing the luggage sorting building and wishes to build a more modern and comfortable airport for passengers to enjoy, some departures from Terminal 1 are, from March to August 2020, handled in Terminal 2. Prague Airport apologizes for the temporary inconvenience, and we wish all passengers a pleasant and comfortable flight!

The number of passengers handled at Václav Havel Airport Prague continues to grow every year, and it is important to make sure the airport is modernizing. At the moment, Prague Airport is building a more modern and comfortable airport for passengers to enjoy, as we never stop looking for ways to make your travels at the airport pleasant and easy-going. An upgrade of the baggage sorting area at Terminal 1 will take place from March to August 2020. It is one of the airport’s long-term development projects. The area will undergo a complete refurbishment and receive new checked baggage security control features.

What will temporary changes to the check-in procedure be introduced? Who will be affected by these changes? Where can you learn additional information? We have prepared a thorough overview of the process to ensure you are ready for your next departure before you arrive at the airport and after you get there. Thus, you will get through the check-in process relatively stress-free and will have the time to enjoy your stay at the airport, either shopping, getting something to eat and drink, or just relaxing before the departure to your destination.
