AIR PASSANGER RIGHTS

EU security regualtions.
Whether you're flying away on a holiday or on a business trip, please pay attention to our basic security rules. Following these will ensure that your check-in at the airport goes smoothly and with no complications.

To safeguard air transport it is essential that passengers checking in go through security procedures aimed at preventing any forbidden and potentially dangerous objects from being taken on board the plane. Therefore, before starting to pack your baggage, find out which things should not be stored in your hand luggage.

Dangerous objects include not only explosives, weapons and knives, but also materials which could be a potential hazard. There are therefore tight restrictions on the amount of liquids and gels you can take through passport control in your hand luggage.

If you are travelling to the USA, please be aware that as part of their security checks the US authorities have applied additional screening procedures which differ from standard security checks. Detailed information on the rules relating to the transport of liquids, forbidden items and security checks on flights to the USA is available from the information stands at Prague Airport or from security staff.

In winter months sometimes snowfall
causes one or more runways to be closed and flights delayed. If departing from UK it's good idea not flying on the first flights of the day as these most likely to be cancelled whilst Prague sorts itself out from overnight snowfall. Average affected days during winter months: 4-5days.
Wifi
In the business lounge upstairs in Terminal 1 there are four PCs with free wired Internet access. Plenty of power points around the lounge for laptops. Paid Wi-Fi hot spot available for 150 CZK for 1 hour (about 6 euros). Wi-Fi signal reception in the lounge is good.
