As Prague is quickly becoming a top tourist destination
in the EU, now serving tens of millions of tourists each year, Prague’s airport and inbound flights are continually increasing. This was also one of reasons why the new terminal 2 was opened this year allowing to serve an additional 4 million passengers every year.
Wifi
There are four PCs with free wired internet access in the business lounge upstairs in Terminal 1. Plenty of 'powerpoints' around the lounge for laptops. T Mobile wi-fi available at 178.50 Czech Crowns for one hour - equivalent to just over 7.5 Euros. Wi-fi signal reception in the lounge is good.
In winter months sometimes snowfall
causes one or more runways to be closed and flights delayed. If departing from UK it's good idea not flying on the first flights of the day as these most likely to be cancelled whilst Prague sorts itself out from overnight snowfall. Average affected days during winter months: 4-5days.
Recommended check in time for all UK flights
is 2 hrs before the flight scheduled departure and 3 hrs for long distance flights.
