EU Passengers

travelling from / to Shengen countries will not need to go through passport control beginning from 1st JAN 2008.

You will find information desks provided at both Arrival and Departure halls in the Terminal 1 and 2.

As Prague is quickly becoming a top tourist destination

in the EU, now serving tens of millions of tourists each year, Prague’s airport and inbound flights are continually increasing. This was also one of reasons why the new terminal 2 was opened this year allowing to serve an additional 4 million passengers every year.

Recommended check in time for all UK flights

is 2 hrs before the flight scheduled departure and 3 hrs for long distance flights.

Departing passengers tax is CZK 468
Transfer passengers tax is CZK 190

CONFERENCE ROOMS

The airport provides space to hold congresses and conferences.

Conference areas: There are modern congress halls with a capacity of up to 350 seats available at the airport, suitable for giving conferences, social activities, training or business meetings. Opportunities to rent congress counters, parking in VIP places in front of the building and accommodation inside Terminal 2 or close to the airport are all on offer as part of the service. The hall is located on the first floor in the adjoining area between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Business Halls (transit area Terminal 1) - With up-to-date areas, the halls can be used by passengers before departure or during transit. Facilities include computer terminals and refreshments with a large selection of beverages. Passengers in First Class and Diners Club International clients can use the hall free of charge.

Business Halls (transit area Terminal 2) - Halls are located on the third floor near block C. The areas offer a pleasant and quiet environment, where you can find computer terminals and refreshments with a large choice of beverages. Showers are also available.

In winter months sometimes snowfall

causes one or more runways to be closed and flights delayed. If departing from UK it's good idea not flying on the first flights of the day as these most likely to be cancelled whilst Prague sorts itself out from overnight snowfall. Average affected days during winter months: 4-5days.

Wifi

In the business lounge upstairs in Terminal 1 there are four PCs with free wired Internet access. Plenty of power points around the lounge for laptops. Paid Wi-Fi hot spot available for 150 CZK for 1 hour (about 6 euros). Wi-Fi signal reception in the lounge is good.
