Cash dispensers (ATMs) are located in both terminals in public areas (not in the transit area). If you are arriving at terminal 1 they are just a few meters from the exit door on the left side and are very easy to find. If you are arriving at terminal 2, there are few ATMs and they are hard to find. They are at the end of lobby on the right side - quite a long walk. All cash dispensers accept major debit and credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Cirrus, Maestro and EC but only the Komercni Bank (KB) ATM supports American Express. Most ATMs issue just 1000 and 2000 CZK bills, so it is always good idea to obtain some smaller notes (for tickets etc.).

ATMs from Komerční banka, ČSOB, Česká spořitelna and UniCredit Bank Czech Republic are available.

 

TIP: If you want to exchange money at the airport change as little as possible because the Travelex airport exchange fee is quite high. Also it is not advisable to exchange money before you go to Prague due to the low trading in currency. For this reason, the buy and sell margin in currency exchange is quite high. The best option is to withdraw cash using your debit card upon arrival. We have never had a problem with any UK-issued cards.
